Owner and Director of IT Network Recruitment & Consulting, Ruby Moodley says that she first discovered the Innovator Trust while searching online for a suitable Enterprise Development (ED) programme to support her business through its growth phase. “At the time, the business had really grown, and we were looking for a reliable, responsible partner to assist us in scaling up,” says Moodley. “The Innovator Trust came across as having a very holistic approach to assisting small businesses in that regard. I sensed that they immediately understood my business model.”
Established in 2007, IT Network Recruitment & Consulting focuses on recruitment & training and assists with Human Resource (HR) outsourcing. Moodley says: “We are all about cross-skilling, upskilling and providing the best skills within the Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment.”
According to Moodley, the highlight of the Innovator Trust Enterprise Development programme was being part of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) programme. The GIBS Programme is a 12-month Management Development scholarship, which is specifically focused on business and general management.
This programme provides a number of support and skills activities, such as training, mentorship, networking and infrastructure support. “Since GIBS, I have learnt to be a better business owner and a better business leader. My team can vouch for the fact that I came back with the knowledge that we needed to develop our business into a multi-million-rand organisation,” says Moodley.
“I’ve gone from having a national footprint to an international footprint within two years of being with the Innovator Trust, and that is phenomenal as a business owner and as a woman in this industry. ICT is one of the biggest development areas within the international framework. I think we have the best minds in Africa to really move us forward and into the fourth industrial revolution,” Moodley concludes.
