Bolt announces ongoing post-pandemic growth to mark ninth anniversary
The company has quadrupled its business globally since the start of the pandemic and launched two products in the same period. As of today, Bolt is present in 45 countries and over 500 cities, an increase of more than 200% before the pandemic. In South Africa, Bolt is available in 9 provinces and a total of 23 cities with seven categories and two product offerings (ride-hailing and food delivery services). CEO and Founder Markus Villig says: “Our culture of frugality helped us come out of the pandemic in a strong position, but the challenges are not going to stop.”

Sage study: Emerging tech critical to manufacturers embracing the Circular Economy whilst facing big industry challenges
New study by Sage reveals advances in technology and innovation (72%) as the biggest driver of Circular Economy (CE) strategies in manufacturing and distribution. A sustainable future powered by CE strategies is now a priority for the majority (84%) of senior leaders in manufacturing and distribution. Nearly one-third (32%) already experience significant benefits from their CE strategy, with a third (32%) more expected to reap the rewards in one to three years. But, two-thirds (67%) say at least some transformation of operations is needed to embrace the CE, and rising costs and supply chain disruption are among key challenges to overcome.
