Logitech’s G102 LIGHTSYNC gaming mouse ticks two of our boxes for being an awesome tech addition to any man cave/home office and those are being affordable and stylish. This light mouse (116.6 x 62.15 x 38.2 mm; 85 g) fits neatly in our hand with all controls being nice and clicky and ergonomically sound.
Most of the features and specs are par for the gaming mouse course including its, unfortunately, unbraided 2.1 m braided cable length, 8000 DPI, 6 buttons that you can assign system commands, shortcut keys, and keyboard commands to using Logitech’s G Hub software. You can also create powerful macros, which let you input sequences of commands in a row that executes every time you click the assigned button.
The G102 lets you choose sensitivity settings as easy as sliding a scroll bar. Set up to 5 levels and cycle through them with the press of a button, which is quite handy for games that have different modes or levels that might require more control such as a sniper scope or a speed clicking level.
What isn’t par for the course is the 1000 Hz USB response rate which allows for buttery smooth operation as well as the RGB on the Logitech G102 which is fantastic, whether you’re a gamer or not. It boasts a range of nice colours, and a great level of brightness. It really is the perfect cure to a drab working from home day.
The recommended retail price for this gaming mouse is just R449. Well worth it in our opinion and we really miss it after the conclusion of our two-week review period.
