BaseMedia, a qualitative and quantitative media analysis reporting specialist, has become part of Novus Group – to form Africa’s most technologically advanced media monitoring operation.Novus Group Director, Joe Hamman says that the acquisition won’t present immediate changes to the services and products that BaseMedia supplies. “Their current offering remains intact, and all staff are being retained, creating a bigger combined team with deeper skills.”

“This being said, we have exciting plans for BaseMedia’s software platform, products and services – especially around our new-found ability to provide more in-depth media analysis reports, with quicker turnaround times. We also plan to incorporate some of the latest advances made in the fields of Big Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence”

As a niche provider to media businesses and corporates across Africa, the Novus Group recognises that growth in the African market is key. Hamman continues, while print, broadcast, online & social will continue to be the group’s core business, strategic acquisitions of complementary services will continue to be part of our expansion strategy. Kramer will be joining the management team at Novus, bringing his collective 15 years of experience in media/data analysis industry.  Kramer and BaseMedia counts some of South Africa’s biggest and most recognised companies among its impressive list of clients. The takeover is effective from 1 April 2018.
