The Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team is delighted to announce that Marcus Ericsson will continue to be part of the team taking on the role of Third Driver and Brand Ambassador.
Over the past four World Championship seasons, Marcus Ericsson has become an important part of the Sauber family. His experience, positive attitude, and the highly professional level of his work have contributed greatly to the remarkable progress made by the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team. Marcus Ericsson will continue to collaborate closely with the team with full dedication.

“I’m thankful for the years spent in Formula One as a racing driver. I am proud to have represented Sauber over the past four years and this season also such an iconic brand as Alfa Romeo. I would have loved to continue racing but to have a driver as Kimi Räikkönen on board is a great opportunity for the team. In related news, Alfa Romeo and the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team also recently announced that Antonio Giovinazzi will race alongside 2007 Formula One World Champion Kimi Räikkönen, completing the team’s driver line-up for the 2019 season.
