A global survey we did in May showed that people turned to feel-good tunes during the first wave of home confinement. A massive 90% felt audio content genuinely helped to improve their emotional outlook during this time.
Back in March we launched a dedicated ‘Stay at home’ channel on Deezer to support our listeners during lockdown. After just one week, playlists like ‘Mellow Days‘ increased by 335% and ‘Happy Days‘ became our second top streamed playlist worldwide.
So we’ve launched a new “Feel good“ channel on Deezer to meet the needs of our listeners when they’re feeling low or need a mood boost to help them through the day. Here’s what you’ll find on the new channel:
- Music that improves your feelings and improves your mood like ‘Morning mood boost’ and ‘Happy hits‘
- Collections of nature sounds, guided yoga and meditation and soundscapes to help you find peace of mind
- Playlists to help you unwind and sleep like Bedtime ASMR
- A wide range of inspirational podcasts to kick start the day like ‘iWeigh’ with Jameela Jamil, Happy Place and Food for thought
- VIP playlists made for Deezer’s listeners by six global megastars like ‘Escape with Ava Max‘ and ‘Chill Vibes with Wizkid‘
With the Summer holidays around the corner, we’ve also launched our “Sounds of Summer” playlists to keep South Africans entertained through the festive season. Music lovers can enjoy a fresh catalogue of curated playlists covering a variety of genres and moments for any occasion including, ‘Summer Hits’, ‘Summer Grooves’ and ‘Happy Feels’.
You’ll find the ‘Feel good’ channel and ‘Sounds of Summer’ playlists on your Music tab in the app, Deezer website or desktop app. So plug in your headphones, get comfortable and let Deezer help you get through this period.
