The Coega Development Corporation (Coega) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Board of Directors for the Coega Development Foundation (CDF), marking an important moment in the Foundation’s evolution as a driver of inclusive socio-economic development.
Coega extends its warmest congratulations to the newly appointed board members. Their diverse expertise, strategic insight, and commitment to transformation will be instrumental in advancing the CDF’s mission to empower communities through education, skills development, and enterprise support.
“The appointment of the new board reflects our commitment to good governance, strategic oversight, and impactful delivery,” said Mr. Themba Koza, Chief Executive Officer of the Coega Development Corporation. “We are confident that this board will lead the Foundation with integrity and innovation, ensuring that it continues to be a catalyst for meaningful change.”
The new board comprises a dynamic group of professionals with extensive experience across development, finance, education, human resources, legal, corporate governance, and public service. Their collective leadership will guide the CDF in delivering on its mandate and expanding its reach across the Eastern Cape and beyond.
Speaking on behalf of the new board, Mr. Kosheek Maharaj, Chairperson of the CDF, expressed his gratitude and vision: “I am honoured to lead this board at such a critical time. I extend my sincere thanks to the CEO, the Coega Development Corporation Board, and the executive team for entrusting us with this responsibility. Our focus will be on creating long term, sustainable value in our communities through the Foundation’s four strategic pillars: Fundraising, SMME Support, Job Creation, and Skills Development.”
