All new Audi vehicles are sold with the Audi Freeway Plan (AFP). This is a comprehensive service and maintenance programme designed to give the customer the best value in terms of peace of mind motoring for the duration of the contract. The AFP eases the bother of budgeting for unexpected service and maintenance expenses and protects all Audi vehicles within its first five years and/or 100 000 kilometres (whichever occurs first). Audi customers now have the opportunity to extend the standard AFP to an impressive 10 years and/or 300 000 kilometres – a benchmark aftersales offer for customers who are more likely to hold onto their vehicles for a longer period of time or who are looking to retain the value of their Audi vehicle.

The Audi Freeway Plan extension is a stand-alone plan which has been created specifically for Audi vehicles. It is invaluable for those who are close to the end of their existing contract but want to continue driving their Audi vehicle safe in the knowledge that it will be cared for properly. It includes Audi’s Vorsprung promise of service excellence and ensures that only trained and experienced workmanship are appointed to maintain the vehicle; that only genuine parts are fitted; and that specialised technical equipment and diagnostic tools are used in servicing the car.

The AFP covers services, wear and tear items and certain repairs after a specialised Audi Dealer assessment. It also warrants against potential defective workmanship, replacement and repair of defective parts on condition that the AFP policy and terms and conditions have not been invalidated. In addition, the AFP allows for participation in Audi Assist which is Audi’s roadside assistance programme that provides support in an emergency event.

“We are all aware that vehicles become costly to look after as they become older. At Audi we have also acknowledged that general consumer spending pressures have resulted in longer ownership cycles. For this reason the newly launched Audi Freeway Plan extension is great value for those customers wanting the added peace of mind when owning and looking after their Audi vehicle,” said Trevor Hill, Head of Audi South Africa.

The Audi Freeway Plan extensions are now available up to a maximum of 10 years and/or 300 000 kilometres in increments from one year or 30 000 kilometres from the date of original registration. The coverage of the plan is immediate. Quotes and sales of the AFP extensions are available from any Audi Dealership.
