Microsoft recently announced 12 new features that make Copilot more personal, more useful, and more connected to the people and world around you. In the YouTube video announcement, Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft AI, and Jacob Andreou, Head of Product for Microsoft AI, share the latest updates and talk about the importance of developing AI that’s in service of people.

For the full slate of Copilot updates, you can watch the video on YouTube, view the accompanying blog here, and check out this home page which houses and links out to the video and blog.

Here’s a snapshot of the news and features announced today – focused on AI that connects us, personalised to each user, enhances memory, and empowers health, learning and wellbeing.

  • AI should be social, not isolating. With Groups, Copilot turns into a shared experience – letting you collaborate in real time to brainstorm, co-write, plan and study together with up to 32 people.
  • Introducing Mico, an expressive, customisable, and warm character with an optional visual presence that listens, reacts, and even changes colors to reflect your interactions, making conversations feel natural.
  • With Memory & Personalisation, you can ask Copilot to remember important information – like training for a marathon or an anniversary – and recall it during future interactions.
  • With connectors, Copilot brings more of your content within reach, making it easy to search and find what you need across multiple accounts, using natural language.
  • Copilot for health addresses one of the most common user needs: health-related questions.
  • With Learn Live, Copilot can help with education, and becomes a voice-enabled tutor that guides you through concepts instead of just giving answers.
  • Copilot Mode in Edge is evolving into an AI browser that is your dynamic, intelligent companion.
  • Copilot on Windows turns every Windows 11 PC into an AI PC turning every Windows 11 PC into an AI PC. With the new wake word “Hey Copilot,” you can start a conversation anytime the feature is enabled and your PC is unlocked.

All features mentioned are available in Copilot today, though specific feature availability may vary by market, device, and platform.
