In celebration of Transport Month, Bolt South Africa joined forces with KwaZulu-Natal’s e-hailing community to host a friendly soccer tournament and day of engagement on Wednesday, 23 October 2025, at the Cato Manor Sports Grounds in Durban.
The event brought together drivers, partners, and industry representatives for a day focused on teamwork, open dialogue, and strengthening relationships within the e-hailing sector.
Beyond the spirit of competition, the gathering served as an important platform for constructive conversations around key issues affecting the industry, including the implementation of the National Land Transport Act (NLTA) regulations, driver welfare, and the ongoing efforts to improve safety and accountability within the sector.
The initiative highlighted Bolt’s commitment to supporting drivers through regulatory transitions, listening to their concerns, and working collaboratively to create a safer, fairer, and more sustainable e-hailing environment across South Africa.

Teams made up of Bolt drivers and representatives from various e-hailing groups competed in a lively series of matches that showcased sportsmanship, collaboration, and community pride. The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the winning team and celebrating all participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to unity.
Bolt expressed its gratitude to the KwaZulu-Natal E-hailing Association for their collaboration and reaffirmed its dedication to building strong partnerships with drivers and stakeholders across the province and beyond.
