Jetour was officially announced as the vehicle sponsor for the DHL Stormers today, a three-year partnership that promises to deliver innovation, passion, and world-class experiences on and off the field. The announcement follows a year of transformation for the DHL Stormers, including a full rebrand under the banner “In It Together”.

Continuing to build their reputation as one of the most consistent and competitive teams in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, the DHL Stormers now welcome Jetour – a brand launched only a year ago in South Africa with a dynamic range of SUVs that blend technology, performance, and comfort.

Since launching in September 2024, Jetour has already established itself as one of the country’s top 15 automotive brands, with its first two models – the 5-door sporty Jetour Dashing and the versatile 7-seater X70 Plus.

“The DHL Stormers are more than a rugby team. They are a symbol of pride, of resilience, and of unity for Cape Town and for South Africa. Their rebrand and their bold new identity speak to a team that is not just playing rugby but building a movement, one that brings communities together under the banner of passion and possibility,” says Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa, who was with the DHL Stormers this week at their training camp in the Garden Route, a crucial part of their preparation for the upcoming season.

Addressing the team, Campbell says that just as the DHL Stormers are known for their consistent and powerful performance, dynamic style of play, and deep connection with their fans, Jetour stands for reliability, performance and a growing community of loyal customers – making this partnership one grounded in shared strengths.

“Our brand was born out of innovation, designing vehicles that bring technology, comfort, and performance together, for people who want more out of life. And that is exactly why we are here today, because we see those same values in the DHL Stormers,” he says.

Jetour views this partnership as an opportunity to stand alongside the DHL Stormers as they take on new challenges, set higher standards, and inspire fans nationwide.

Stormers Rugby CEO, Johan le Roux, said that this partnership is an exciting one, as there is great alignment between the brands. “Jetour was launched in South Africa a year ago and this last year has also been one of big changes for our club. We are looking forward to where we can go together, as a sense of community is a driving force that we have in common. It is fantastic to have a vehicle partner of the calibre of Jetour, and we will accelerate into the future with them,” he said.

The sponsorship kicks off with the DHL Stormers enjoying the Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus, with the brand’s first all-wheel drive SUV T-series being launched next month, which will be added to the fleet.

Campbell says that while the Jetour brand will be proudly displayed on the team’s jersey going forward, this partnership is more about alignment than exposure. “Both Jetour and the DHL Stormers are stepping into a new chapter defined by ambition, confidence, and a solid foundation. Together, we want to show South Africa what it means to embrace innovation, to live with passion, and to strive for excellence,” he says.

Added to this sponsorship is the opportunity for Jetour customers to benefit from an exclusive Jetour VIP Club at the DHL Stormers’ home ground, a first in DHL stadium history for a sponsor. Every home game will see selected customers and their families invited to support the DHL Stormers. This is yet another example of Jetour’s drive to go beyond the expected, crafting customer experiences that excite and inspire. Jetour customers are encouraged to follow the brand on social media for the latest updates on upcoming games and exclusive opportunities.

“We’re excited about this journey ahead. We’re proud to be a part of the DHL Stormers family. And we look forward to celebrating every try, every tackle, and every victory, together. Here’s to an incredible season ahead,” Campbell says.
