Tailored mobile distribution and solutions company, Pure Distribution is thrilled to announce their partnership with French telecommunication company, Avenir Telecom who design and distributes a large range of mobile phones and accessories exclusively under the Energizer licence. The partnership will see Pure drive the local distribution business for a select range of the Energizer mobile phones that live up to the Energizer brand and deliver on durability, power and innovation.
Colin Williamson, Managing Director for Pure Distribution says, “We have been working on this deal for quite some time now as we recognised a gap in the local market for devices that not only meet the basic needs of a cell phone, but that are adaptable to various segments of the markets, as well as different industries. To be able to deliver on 8-hour video viewing time on a single charge with our HardCase Range that also happened to win the Best Rugged Smartphone 2019 at the Mobile News Awards, plus offer a lower income earning consumer a feature phone that uses KaiOS a light operating system for smart feature phones that offers apps like Google Services, Facebook and WhatsApp, are seriously significant wins for us considering our diverse culture and varied socio-economic status.”
Robert Schiano, General Manager, Avenir Telecom says, “Given the rate of expansion since our collaboration with the Energizer brand in 2010, we have been particularly focused on our international growth by working with partners that have the same passion and drive that we do.” He said, “After 30 years in this business, we understand that we cannot develop products and ‘pitch’ them to our consumers based on what we ‘think’ they may be looking for. We need to rather build products from listening to what our users need and ensure that our key product pillars deliver at every touch point, with every device and we are excited to partner with Pure Distribution who have over 12 years’ experience serving the South African Market.”
According to the results of the Consumer Technology Association study in 2018, as consumers demand more from their mobile phones, they’re basing their purchasing
decisions on four key criteria; Brand, Price, Battery Life and Quality. Energizer mobile phones has built a global business around devices that use these criteria as the key features of all their devices, across the entire portfolio. The Energizer mobile phone product portfolio fall into these key product ranges – The Energy Range; The HardCase range and The PowerMax Range and are currently available through Takealot and Incredible Connection with additional online retail outlets being added later this year.
